Fermenting Intensive

Fermented foods have long been documented & utilized for their health benefits including supporting and nourishing the human microbiome. A balanced microbiome regulates the immune system, metabolism, sustains the gastrointestinal tract, supports mood and brain function and produces crucial vitamins and nutrients.

Join Colleen as she demonstrates and offers a variety of ways to learn how to implement this healthy habit into your life. This dynamic workshop will provide the foundational skillset for fermenting success as well as provide the next step instruction on how implement secondary fermenting skills into your daily routine.

Basic fundamentals of several Ferments will be covered including:

  • Yoghurt
  • Kefir
  • Kombucha
  • Jun
  • Tibicos
  • Pickled veggies and Kraut
  • Kvass
  • Bugs (Ginger and Beyond!)

Through these primary ferments the participant will be guided through creating exciting and creative secondary ferments such as lacto-fermented ketchup and mustard, bean & nut spread, sodas and more.

Participants will leave with several ferments and cultures ready to populate their home kitchens plus a detailed manual with instructions and recipes.
