The Kootenay Coop in Nelson, BC has asked me back to teach again for their fall cooking class series. This time I am coming to teach all about two medicines that are simple to create and will support your wellness throughout the seasonal change and cold and flu season.
Here is the write up from the Coop:
Monday, September 17th 6 PM-8 PM
Together we’ll brew Colleen’s favourite medicinal winter tonics. We’ll make a witches brew, a firey cider-based acetum of local, seasonal herbs, spices and vegetables which can be finished into an oxymel using local, raw honey. We’ll also prepare an elderberry syrup, a tasty way to bring this important cold and flu herb into your daily routine to ward off seasonal viruses, boost immune system function, provide a dose of daily Vitamin C, antioxidants and so much more. We’ll make big batches together then take them home to protect our families this winter.
$30 for members and $35 for non-members
Includes demonstration and recipes, bring 2 mason jars to bring home what we make
You may register in person at our Customer Service desk, or by phone with a credit card: 250-354-4077.
