Matcha Klatch time!

Matcha Klatch time!
October 22, 2009 Colleen Emery

Its been a bit since I have posted here at the blog. We have been very busy these past few weeks, as I am sure most of you have been too. Thanks for keeping up with the blog by the way, I appreciate it!

So, since I have been away from the ‘nets for a bit I thought I would do a catch up post. I quit drinking coffee at home years ago hence the matcha klatch title but feel free to consume whatever beverage makes you comfortable and happy and lets klatch away.

On the Homeschooling front we have really found our groove as a family. We have been so busy doing such interesting things such as field trips to the museum to see the big baby, trips to the humane society for Pickle’s brownie badge work (barely made it out pet-free) and lots of painting, crafting, journaling, guitar playing and song writing, and preparation for the Pickle’s yellow belt test in Aikido. We also had our first homeschool facilitator visit and it went really well!! Phew, I have to say I am relieved to know we are on the right track.

On the Homesteading front things have become a bit more murky. There was a day this month where we were ready to pack our boxes and get the heck out of dodge and then within 12 hours that reality had changed for us. Looks like we will be in the city for a while longer, good thing our life here is so blessed!

And, lastly on the Herb front, things have cranked up to a rolling flow. I have been busy helping many people prepare their herbal cabinets for the approaching winter. The big snowstorm that happened a few weeks back motivated many to squirrel away items that are helpful and oh so necessary for the winter season to keep the family well. Next week, I will be talking about these items and providing some ideas on how to combat any immune suppression that may enter your family’s lives.

One final note: I want to send a shout out to my cousin Melanie. Melanie gave birth a few days ago to twin boys, both almost 8 pounds each, naturally. I stand in awe of your goddess strength! I can’t wait to meet the little men and give you a big hug.

Have a great day all!!
